How things become "known."

Posted on 2007.06.11 at 15:52
Repitition and strong emotions. If we hear something repeated enough and with great emotional power, we begin to believe it is "known" or even more worse, "real".

All of the hypnotic work and improv I do is about challenging the solidity of my realities.

Disorganize and rebuild with much better beliefs.

Is ViperKeeper.  This guy lives in PA and keeps all types of poisonous vipers, cobras, etc.

Excellent if you like to watch venomous snakes eating dead rats!

I can watch them all day.

Our Blood Squad Show last night 3/23/07

Posted on 2007.03.24 at 09:23
Was called, Blood Bath Bingo II, and it was a lot of fun!

It was a hybrid mix of Ashton Kutcher's Butterfly Effect, that weird 70's movie where the woman is completely blind but can see murders happening through the eyes of the killer (someone please help me), Jacob's Ladder (kinda), and a host of teen slasher films. It had a cool psyche-thriller ending, flipping back and forth in time, and locations. I felt like the theme song for the film could have been something by Stone Temple Pilots. And get this, we played for six people!

It was looking like a "slim" house at around 10:30pm (there were only 2 people in the seats) the chance of calling the show was mighty. Then, boom, we doubled, and the house manager Rik and his son stayed to watch, so we had six. I was elated, I love doing the show and would do it for one person.

What can I say? We ruled. The show cooked! We perform at a really great clip these days, no pauses, problems, etc. Brandon took a mime strap to my buttocks and testes many moments throughout. The audience was way into it, laughing big. For six people that's fantastic.

Audience size: We've extended the run so it's like starting over. My goal is to have 50 people in the seats per show. Seven Star say it takes time and advertising. The first we have a little bit of, the second we have less of, but word of mouth is spreading.

There is something about doing a good show for six people though, it feels like we were all in on something small and special together. Sorta like playing in a new band on a Tuesday night at the Funhouse for your 3 devoted fans who found you on Myspace, the two drunk Alaskan fishermen at the bar, and the three frat guys playing pool in the back. You go out and you live the rock and roll dream regardless. I have often said that if I won that MegaMillions lottery, I'd still do Blood Squad.

Other news: I'm going to a parapsychology fair in Kent. Will post something maybe later.

VeriChip Corporation Announces First Emergency Room Use of VeriMed Microchip

July 27 2006

Injured Bergen County Police Officer Benefited from Rapid Access to Medical Records using FDA-Approved RFID Microchip

DELRAY BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 26, 2006--VeriChip Corporation, a subisidiary of Applied Digital (NASDAQ:ADSX - News), announced today that the VeriMed(TM) Patient Identification System was successfully utilized at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey, helping a Bergen County Police Officer, who previously received the VeriChip, during an emergency situation. The event represented the first time that a patient who had received a VeriChip was able to receive treatment from a hospital that also offered the System.

Hackensack's emergency room medical staff had immediate, secure access to Sgt. William Koretsky's identity and medical history after scanning his VeriChip microchip and linking it with the officer's patient information file stored on VeriChip Corporation's secure database. Koretsky, a Bergen County Police officer, was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with head, neck and back injuries after a high speed chase that resulted in a car accident. He consented to disclosing his name and information about the incident so that others could know of the benefits of having medical records rapidly available.

"As a police officer involved in high-risk situations, incidents such as my experience at Hackensack University Medical Center highlight the important role that the VeriChip can play in situations where it is critical for emergency room personnel to access medical conditions and history. As a result of my previously receiving the VeriChip and Hackensack's emergency room having a Patient Identification System, I was able to receive faster treatment during the critical time period when I arrived at the hospital," said Koretsky.

"We are extremely thankful that Sgt. Koretsky is healed and has returned to duty," remarked Kevin McLaughlin, President and CEO of VeriChip Corporation. "We are very proud of how the VeriMed Patient Identification performed during this emergency situation. This event illustrates the important role that the VeriChip can play in medical care."

VeriChip's FDA-approved, human-implantable Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) microchip, inserted just under the skin of the patient's upper right arm, links a patient through a unique 16-digit identifier with their secure, on-line patient information file. Each record can contain vital information related to the patient's condition, family contacts, lab test data, and pharmacy records helping make the difference between life and death during an emergency. Currently, 110 medical facilities have committed to adopt the VeriMed Patient Identification System in their emergency rooms while over 2,500 people have gotten a VeriChip microchip worldwide.

Favorite Word for TODAY

fain.

definition:  Happily, gladly. Archaic: obliged, required.

Here is the sentence I read: "...my mind stil refuses to let me remember how, but at the moment that's fain."

I don't think it's being used correctly in the sentence, I think it would be necessary to write, "...but at the moment that's not fain."

If anyone has a clarification, it is already appreciated!
